End-to-End Sports Drink Manufacturing
A sports drink is defined by its balance of sodium, potassium, and sugar. We set that balance for your customer, make the electrolytes taste good at effective levels, and develop both ready-to-drink and powdered formats.

Whether you're just getting started or preparing for national distribution, MetaBrand provides a clear manufacturing pathway that grows alongside your business.
Hero Samples are professionally produced, non-saleable proof-of-concept units designed to support early-stage business development. These samples are packaged in your branded container and intended for investor presentations, retailer meetings, influencer outreach, and strategic sales conversations. Hero Samples allow brands to begin generating market interest and securing commercial opportunities before committing to production inventory.
Pilot manufacturing runs are smaller production batches built to validate your concept in the market. A pilot run gets your product onto shelves and into consumers' hands without committing to a truckload. Brands use pilot runs for regional distribution trials, retailer sell-in tests, and to confirm that every input works before they scale.
Consumers like your product, you've signed two or three distributors in your region, and you're ready to build your first full truckload. Production moves to more automated equipment, so your cost of goods starts to make sense while you still keep cash and inventory in check.
High-volume production is for established brands that need millions of units. Your product sells nationwide or through a few major retailers, and you reorder by the truckload for each SKU on a regular schedule. MetaBrand manages production planning, vendor coordination, and finished product quality control.
Whether you're launching a new product or scaling an established brand, we provide specialized manufacturing solutions tailored to your beverage type.
A sports drink replaces the fluids, electrolytes, and often the carbohydrates lost during exercise. Its balance of sodium, potassium, and sugar is what separates it from flavored water, and your target customer should decide that balance.
Sodium and potassium in almost every case. Many formulas add magnesium, calcium, or chloride. At effective levels, electrolytes taste salty or bitter, so most of the formulation work goes into making them taste good. This is general information, not medical advice.
That depends on how your customer uses it. Carbohydrates fuel long or intense workouts. Zero-sugar formulas suit everyday hydration. Some brands sell both.
Ready-to-drink bottles win on convenience and shelf visibility. Powdered drink mixes cost less to ship, last longer, and sell well online. MetaBrand develops both formats.
Some structure/function claims are allowed if they're truthful and backed by evidence. Anything that suggests treating a medical condition is not. We flag risky claims during development. This is general information, not legal or medical advice.
Many are hot filled, which makes them shelf-stable but requires heat-resistant bottles. Cold fill with other preservation steps is also an option. The fill method, the bottle, and the flavor affect each other, so we choose them as a set.
