End-to-End Sugar Brew & Malt Manufacturing
Sugar brews and flavored malt beverages cost less to tax and reach more shelves than spirit-based drinks. We filter the base until it's close to neutral, and you taste it side by side against other bases before you commit to one.

Whether you're just getting started or preparing for national distribution, MetaBrand provides a clear manufacturing pathway that grows alongside your business.
Hero Samples are professionally produced, non-saleable proof-of-concept units designed to support early-stage business development. These samples are packaged in your branded container and intended for investor presentations, retailer meetings, influencer outreach, and strategic sales conversations. Hero Samples allow brands to begin generating market interest and securing commercial opportunities before committing to production inventory.
Pilot manufacturing runs are smaller production batches built to validate your concept in the market. A pilot run gets your product onto shelves and into consumers' hands without committing to a truckload. Brands use pilot runs for regional distribution trials, retailer sell-in tests, and to confirm that every input works before they scale.
Consumers like your product, you've signed two or three distributors in your region, and you're ready to build your first full truckload. Production moves to more automated equipment, so your cost of goods starts to make sense while you still keep cash and inventory in check.
High-volume production is for established brands that need millions of units. Your product sells nationwide or through a few major retailers, and you reorder by the truckload for each SKU on a regular schedule. MetaBrand manages production planning, vendor coordination, and finished product quality control.
Whether you're launching a new product or scaling an established brand, we provide specialized manufacturing solutions tailored to your beverage type.
A sugar brew is an alcohol base made by fermenting sugar, often cane sugar, instead of grain. Filtered well, it's close to neutral in taste, which is why so many hard seltzers and flavored alcoholic drinks use one.
A flavored malt beverage is an alcoholic drink made from a fermented malt base that's filtered and then flavored. Many hard seltzers, hard teas, and hard lemonades are FMBs. Because they're generally taxed as beer, they usually cost less to produce and sell than spirit-based drinks.
Sugar brews give the cleanest, most neutral profile. Malt bases add some body and can be sold wherever beer is sold. Spirit bases taste the most like a real cocktail but carry the highest tax. We run all three against your target flavor during formulation so you can taste the difference before choosing.
Classification depends on the ingredients and how the base is made. It decides which agency reviews your label and how the product is taxed, and getting it wrong can stall a launch. We confirm the classification early and prepare the formulation documents you need. This is general information, not legal or regulatory advice.
A grain-free sugar brew can support a gluten-free product, but the claim still has to be verified and labeled correctly. Malt comes from barley, so malt bases contain gluten unless specially processed. Even then, 'gluten-removed' wording follows strict labeling rules.
Yes, and brands do it often to cut excise tax and widen distribution. The catch is flavor. The recipe has to be reworked so it still tastes like your brand, and we run side-by-side tastings before you commit.
